          Job Description:

          Maintain and utilize various customer computer resources, including servers, desktop computers, laptops, internet-based systems and applications

          Supports an enterprise Information Technology O&M program

          Perform a wide variety of tasks with respect to computer hardware, software, networks and user accounts

          Perform daily system monitoring, verifying the integrity and availability of all hardware, server resources, systems and key processes, reviewing system and application logs, and verifying completion of scheduled jobs such as backups

          Perform regular security monitoring to identify any possible intrusions

          Interprets/analyzes incidents and problems and provides technical support for hardware, software, and telecommunications systems

          Perform daily backup operations, ensuring all required file systems and system data are successfully backed up to the appropriate media, recovery tapes or disks are created, and media is recycled and sent off site as necessary

          Perform regular file archival and purge as necessary

          Create, change, and delete user accounts per request

          Provide Tier II, III/other support per request from various constituencies. Investigate and troubleshoot issues

          Repair and recover from hardware or software failures. Coordinate and communicate with impacted constituencies

          Apply OS patches and upgrades on a regular basis, and upgrade administrative tools and utilities. Configure / add new services as necessary

          Upgrade and configure system software and infrastructure applications or Asset Management applications per project or operational needs

          Maintain operational, configuration, or other procedures

          Perform periodic performance reporting to support capacity planning

          Perform ongoing performance tuning, hardware upgrades, and resource optimization as required

          Configure CPU, memory, and disk partitions as required

          Maintain data center environmental and monitoring equipment

          Repair and recover from hardware or software failures

          Coordinate and communicate with impacted constituencies

          Qualifiations:


          Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in Information Systems Technology or related degree

          Three (3) + years experience with Remote Desktop (such as LANDesk) or other remote assistance applications

          Three (3) + years experience with Active Directory

          Three (3) + years demonstrated technical knowledge and troubleshooting of Microsoft computing hardware, operating systems, and office productivity software is required

          Three (3) + years experience installing operating systems and applications

          Three (3) + years experience installing and troubleshooting servers and Storage Area Networks

          Experience with account management•
          Three (3) + years solid hardware background with desktop, laptop, printers and scanners•
          Two (2) + years experience with Mobile Communications Devices desirable.

          Experience with use of Remedy-based ticketing systems Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail

          Local travel may be required; valid state driver license

          Ability to support shift schedule is required

          Ability to provide excellent customer service

          Additional Preferred Skills:


          Experience supporting DHS USCIS is desired

          ITIL v3, A+, Network+, Security+ or Microsoft certification desirable

          Strong interpersonal and communications skills

          Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
